SEMPORNA, 9 September 2024 – Deputy Minister of Defence, YB Adly Zahari, visited and engaged with 12 ATM veterans, including those with chronic illnesses, widows, children with disabilities, and entrepreneurs in the Semporna area.

In addition to checking on their well-being, YB Adly also took the opportunity to present food baskets to each of the veterans he visited. This initiative is part of the government's Madani focus, coordinated by the Ministry of Defence, in its efforts to safeguard the welfare of every ATM veteran.

Through this initiative, positive impacts have been realized as the welfare and well-being of ATM veterans continue to be cared for, whether through household assistance or support in the socio-economic sector, in line with their past contributions and sacrifices in preserving the nation's peace.

Among the veterans visited were also entrepreneurs from various fields, such as those supplying cooking gas to households and operators of recreational parks.

This Madani Veteran Care Program (PVM) visit was also joined by the Deputy Director-General of JHEV ATM, Mr. Sophian Isswandy bin Ismail, Assistant Director of JHEV ATM Sabah, Captain Muhammad Khaidir bin Ramlee TUDM, Chief Executive Officer of the ATM Veterans Foundation, Lt. Col. (B) Azwadi bin Jamian, members from the Semporna District Social Welfare Department (JKM), and representatives from local associations.
