The welfare of ATM veterans continues to be strengthened through the Madani Veteran Care Program (PVM).

JOHOR BAHRU, 5 September 2024 – Deputy Minister of Defence, YB Adly Zahari, engaged with veterans during the Madani Veteran Care Program (PVM) in Mersing, today, as a significant gesture of appreciation for the services and sacrifices of the ATM veterans in the area.

Throughout the program, which runs from 4 to 6 September 2024, YB Adly Zahari visited 12 ATM veterans, many of whom are elderly and suffering from chronic illnesses. Among them, two veterans are entrepreneurs, operating a restaurant and a fresh chicken processing business. In addition to checking on their well-being, YB Adly Zahari presented contributions in the form of essential items such as food, health supplements, and diapers to each veteran he visited.

Furthermore, 300 Rahmah Baskets were distributed to local veteran associations for distribution to eligible veterans in need.

The Mersing PVM program was also attended by the Commander of the 21st Royal Malay Regiment (GGK), Major General Ahmad Shuhaimi Mat Wajab; Staff Officer 1 of the JHEV Secretariat, Lieutenant Colonel Nor Azimi bin Idris; Director of JHEV Johor Branch, Major Johadi bin Jemaat; as well as representatives from the Social Welfare Department (JKM), PERHEBAT, and local ATM veteran associations from Mersing.

The Ministry of Defence, through JHEV ATM, remains committed to addressing the needs of ATM veterans, focusing on five main areas: welfare, health, housing, education, and economic empowerment.
